FAQs
What services do you provide?
We provide traditional outpatient counseling services for individuals, couples, children, and families. We also provide court-ordered services, including anger management groups, substance abuse assessments and treatment, supervised visitations, and co-parenting classes.
How often / long can I see my therapist?
We do not have any specific limits on the frequency or duration of therapy. However, most clients see their therapist weekly or biweekly, and can usually do so until the no longer need the services. There may be times when crises arise and more frequent sessions are clinically necessary, and there are also instances when limits are placed by the client’s individual health insurance plan or the availability of the therapist.
Who qualifies for sliding scale payments?
Our sliding Scale program is primarily reserved for people without healthcare insurance and who would otherwise need to pay full price for counseling. On some occasions we can use our sliding scale for those who cannot afford counseling for other reasons, which we assess on a case-by-case basis.
How do I get started?
The best way to get started is by calling our main office at 540-433-1546. We are also reachable by email, although scheduling is often easier and more immediate over the phone. We will first schedule a brief intake over telehealth to assess your need and availability before a clinician is assigned to you.
Is the sliding scale available for all services?
The sliding scale is used for traditional counseling services, such as individual, family, couples, and children counseling. For court-ordered services such as anger management and substance abuse, we charge a flat fee.
Do you have translation services?
We currently do not use any translations services. However, we have a licensed clinician who speaks Spanish.
